Fun challenge today to be inspired by patterned paper! I watched the first video and took the tips on the colors and patterns from her. But I also was inspired to use stickers for my sentiment. I'm sure I'm not alone here in that I save things and don't use them. Well, I think I'm the worst with alphabet stickers, because I don't want to use up some letters that I'm going to need someday. LOL!
I chose the Argyle pattern first by simply taking a stack of papers, flipping through, and stopping randomly. Then I went into my scrap paper drawer and found some small patterns to coordinate. I wanted an embellished tag, so I had to go hunting for this pack of tags that I knew I had somewhere. I drew the heart and cut out by hand and I'm very proud of myself for successfully drawing a crooked heart. My hearts always end up too symmetrical. Then I went digging into my stickers and fought the urge to "save" these Scrabble stickers. Man, I've had those for a LONG time--they were unopened. So, I arranged the stickers and wrote out the "birthday" and I'm happy with my fun collage. TFL!

The argyle background was such a great choice to build from. Love you tag with its funky heart and wee flower, but your scrabble word and handwritten "birthday" are so perfect to complete this card! (I hear you on hating to part with those lovely embellies!)
