I was inspired by the horizontal silhouette against a gorgeous sky in the photo on this scrapbook page today but went with a more masculine bg.
Sponged a cs panel with DI in an ombre fashion and then applied glass bead gel through a stencil on top of that (learned about glass bead gel from Loll Thompson - thanks, Loll!). When it dries it leaves a fabulous sparkly texture - love how it turned out!
On another thin piece of cs I sponged more of the same colors, and then embossed with sparkly kalidescope embossing powder. Stamped the sentiment, die cut my thorn tree, and assembled all on my card front with a piece of black cs to ground the tree.

OMG, Maura...Absolutely Stunning glass bead gel embossed background, ombre sponging and silhouette die cut tree. Love your narrow border strip and sentiment too. I have the glass bead gel because of Loll too :-)

The background with the silhouette image reminds of an African savanna sunset (that I have only seen in photos}. Love the glass bead sheen, this is gorgeous, Maura!
