For our "at the ocean" challenge today....In a panel that was the same size as my card front I die cut a rectangle and then created the bg scene with masking, stamping, and sponging (using all Distress oxide inks, except the green, which was mowed lawn). Sponging with the oxide inks is sooooooo smooth - love it! Splattered with water droplets, absorbed ink with a paper towel gently pressed into panel, and then spritzed with shimmer spritz spray- SO sparkly!! Inserted this panel back into the negative space and attached to card front.
Stamped the sentiment with 2 colors, triple stamped the flamingo, die cut and popped up with dimensional tape. Added sparkly enamel dots - I love this brand (Your Next Stamp) - they are so sparkly! Did I mention that I like shimmer and sparkle????

Your sponged, splattered, and shimmer spitzed background is so very pretty...and your flamingo triple-stamping so bright and colorful...all this lovely coloring creates such a STRIKING card!

Wow, what an awesome panel you created with the Oxide inks, Maura! I love the die cutting of the panel and placement back into the negative.
The flamingo is gorgeous! Awesome artwork, as usual, Maura!!
