hi there,
Here is my card for the MIX today; Stuck in a Stenciling Rut and the F4A; Masculine card.
On Monday, Judy posted such an interesting TLC challenge, to sand watercolour pencils over a stencil and I wanted to try it. Since I needed a card for my DH for Father's Day it worked perfectly.
I began by laying my stencil onto my heavy weight cs then sprayed with water. Next using sand paper, I rubbed my watercolour pencil to make shavings over the open areas of the stencil. When I removed it, there was still great colour on the front of the stencil, so I pressed all that leftover colour onto my card as well. Sponged the edges with Distress ink, splattered and stamped.
thanks for looking, http://snippets-karen.blogspot.ca/20...ds-day_18

Sounds like a cool technique! I will have to give it a try! Your card is gorgeous! I always love the look of drywall tape, whether it is the actual tape or a stencil.

I absolutely love the effect you got with that sanding technique over that stencil. Ovestamping the clock where you placed it was perfect. Lovely card!
