I might have gone a bit rogue on this sketch. I stamped the Snoopys all over and made sure that they would hang off the rectangles that I planned to cut. Colored with Spectrum Noirs and white gel pen. After I cut the rectangles, I popped them up with a couple of layers of paper and popped Charlie Brown up on foam squares.
This is going to my friend's son who is turning 7 on Friday. I went with Snoopy, because I crocheted him a Snoopy doll when he was born and it's still his favorite.
I threw in a picture of the Snoopy that I crocheted, because I'm still proud of it.

OMG ssooo CUTE!!! I love all the dancing Snoopys (and no you didn't go overboard on using six!)...That Charlie Brown is perfect there in the corner....what a fun take on the sketch! And thanks for including the pic of your hand made Snoopy...just darling!
