I was so happy to see Jeanne's Scenic Route MIX challenge this morning, as just last night when I was putting dies away, I knew I wanted to use this MB landscape die soon. Alas, it's the first Friday for a month that I've been in work, so this is a quickie made up with scraps from my box. The glitter stars stencilled on a wrinkle-free distress background was already in my box. The foreground panels were cut from a failed piece of Versamark resist, to which I added alcohol inks to make it a little darker. I coloured the landscape trees and house with Sharpies, adding clear tape and glitter behind the house window and a scrap of blue behind the door. Matted it onto black and then a white base, added the sentiment and then at the last minute decided to sponge in the rising sun to go with the verse. I did try adding a bird flying across, but it looks better without and I have used two dies. Mixed media: distress inks, alcohol inks, acrylic modelling paste.
Oh yes, the green foreground was also embossed to add a little depth to the scene.

OMG, I love this cute little landscape scene. So colorful and so texturized. I might have to case you someday, that's how much I like it.
Thanks Sabrina for leaving that nice comment on my hyacinth card. Card making is my passion and I love spending time doing it as I think you do too. I see you live in Ireland. I am of Irish heritage and I have been to your country two times and have loved every minute of it. Hope to visit it again in the near future. I loved Dublin too!

Oh, Sabrina, this is GORGEOUS! First of all, the sentiment really caught my eye (it reminded me of the wonderful hymn, one of which my precious dad used to sing in his deep bass voice...memories). And then the scene is amazing with the beautiful sunrise bursting vibrantly against the hills with the sweet little house and trees! I love it! Hugs, precious friend! xoxo
