This is for Lisa's "My Favourite"WT challenge which you will be able to find HERE.
I have to admit I was very slow getting going on this one, but when I thought about what I most like doing, which is creating backgrounds, I pulled out my all-time favourite background stamp from IO and I was out of the gate. Possibly my most used stamp is the sand from Shore Thing.
I sponged a bit of colour onto the card base before embossing the flourishes, and then sponged plenty more on after embossing the flourishes with clear EP. I used mostly mowed lawn, tumbled glass and mustard seed. I also stamped a Hero Arts Script stamp which has almost vanished, and the water splash from French Foliage, and then edged the top and sides with gilding flakes - the "grass" at the bottom is embossed and sanded Core-dinations.
For the bird, I stamped on white card and coloured with gelatos, rubbing them to blend with a baby wipe and my fingers. The sentiment and music notes were stamped on with Rangers Archival.
The leaves were stamped on white card (I used green ink for the leaf on the right) and sponged with distress inks, then fussy cut and mostly popped up with foam.
Fun challenge, Lisa - looking forward to seeing the gallery for this one!

Sabrina, I love the baroque feel of your marvelous bg and the lovely bird and music notes. The gilded flakes provide the perfect frame for your art. Gorgeous card!!

LOVE!!!!!!!! The colors on this are so warm and rich and beautiful! The bits of yellow create such wonderful light. And the bird and leaves are fabulous and then once again your framing with the embossed bottom and bits of gold around the edge...brilliant!

Wild & wonderful bg (I do see the script there) and of course I love the little notes being tweeted by your bird. But the thing I find most amazing on this are those realistic looking leaves - like they were just plucked from a tree that was decked out in it's fall foliage
