What happened??? Has this happened to anyone else?
The stain on the embossing folder is marked weathered wood but clearly ISN'T, however last year when I used it was. Oh well, I like aqua, but this was suppose to be gray. I wonder how many others are doing this?
Anyway this isn't what is important to me...my family. This card is for a family member for his birthday. He traded in his BMW for a truck and his suit and tie for a hat. Lol so I thought this was fitting. Hope he likes it.
Since the weathered wood stain changed colors and that was out of my control I'm considering it is gray just like to says on the bottle. Lol

Ha! Love the story about the embossing folder! Sometimes I am amazed at how many things in card-making can NOT go as planned!! But your card turned out great and your family member is going to love it!

this is a great guy card Tonda-interesting to hear that distress inks and stains can change colors-I have read some of the comments-will have to check my distress reinkers before I put them on a ink pad

Tonda, I have things like this happen with my inks....but....I have to admit it is my fault because I am the messiest stamper our there and never clean stamps and inks get mixed....
Now about your card, it is Wonderful! I love it. You know how I love me some western stuff and some cowboys and some trucks. The signs are wonderful and I love that bg. Turquoise is western so it works wonderfully. Fab card and definitely in my faves. I love the way you think. Hugz

Hands down, this is one of the best masculine cards I have seen! I love aqua and red together so I think this looks amazing. However, I do understand your frustration in not getting the color you were expecting. How neat that the man you are sending this to is following his dreams and doing what his heart truly desires. He will love this card! Hugs! ~Karen.

this card is adorable. I love anything with a western theme. All of the elements of this card work so well together. Love your western themed stamps and your pickup truck.
