The challenge today is to create a night scene. Woo hoo, my favorite kind of scene to create!!
I stamped the 3 birch trees (Nature's Silhouettes) and then masked them. Next, I stamped the bg image (from Tranquil) with the MISTI multiple times, coloring with a marker on each section at a time and adding layers of ink until satisfied with the image. Then I masked for the moon and for snowdrifts and sponged with distress inks, moving the masks as necessary. Removed masks (love that part!), and embossed the sentiment in black so that it would stand out more. Finally, I splattered some slightly diluted white acrylic paint for snow and added some snow to the top of the fence posts and the tree birches with a white gel pen. Love how the branches stand out in this scene!!
