Ways to Use It Challenge honoring the fairy tales of Hans Christian Anderson. This is the fairy story of my card: Mr. Anderson's story of the Little Match Girl who tried to sell matches in the cold winter touched the heart of a young girl. She decided to sell flowers in the springtime to give the money for the poor to be warm in the winter. Alas, her flowers were nothing special and no one would buy them. One day she came upon a lonely creature that was so sad & weary. The young girl took pity on him and put him in her wagon. Lo & behold, it was a magical creature who spoke to her. He said that no one had ever shown him so much kindness. He wanted to return the benevolence, upon one condition that she would only speak two words to him and nothing more. The young girl said "Thank You". Suddenly, a special necklace appeared around her neck. The creature told her to always wear it, never sell it or give it away. She wanted to ask why but she had already spoken her words. From that day on, the young girl wore the necklace every day and her flowers were the most beautiful in all the land. Everyone bought some. She was so happy to be able to give so much to the poor. Now, every time she thinks of the magical creature, she whispers softly to herself "Thank you".
