WooHoo it is Tickle a Teapotter time and we are helping Jacko and IndigoBlu-Magenta from Whykickamoocow, choose a Disney theme for their wedding. I guess it was a no-brainer that I would choose Fantasyland.
Here we have Penny out for an evening stroll. She recently learnt to whistle `outwards' and couldn't be happier with herself. I vividly remember my brothers trying to teach me to whistle properly. To this day I can only whistle `inwards'.
Now about my card...no surprises that this was done with Distress Inks and the Smack & Squirt technique ((smack distress ink pad onto al foil, squirt on water and using a foam blending tool, scrub the inky water onto the cardstock, add a bit more colour without adding water where needed).
I started at the bottom and created the grass area, followed by the moon. The purple area was done next by tilting the foam blending tool. The night sky was done last. I wanted an aged night-time look so I very gently rubbed a pre-stained Walnut Stain foam blending tool over the background.
To work out the positioning of the house and Penny, I placed acetate stamped images over the background. Once I was happy with the layout, I used Memento Luxe ink and MISTI, I stamped Penny about 10 times and the house 3 times.
Prismacolour pencils are a dream to use over the top of distress inks. It saves having to do a lot of masking. I hand drew some cobblestones, added a garden, some glitter and finished with a doodled border.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get time to play. Have a happy, inky week.

Oh, Susie!! Since I've been away for a few weeks, I have missed seeing that gorgeous house! The scene you created is remarkable! You did a magnificent job on creating and coloring the cobble stones! The scene is so magical that I just want to escape, step inside, and stroll along with Penny! Thanks for the great tip on the Prismacolor pencils! Hugs, my special friend!!

Looking at this tag for me is a "beam me up Scottie" moment (are you a Star Trek fan by any chance). The reason I say this is because I want to take lessons from you and I want to be in Australia RIGHT NOW! Are you scared now? Hee Hee. I am so delighted with this gorgeous tag and I am so incredulous that anyone can tuck all the items into one tag that you do Susie. How in the world- right down to the pebbles in front of the house! You really hit it out of the ballpark with this one Susie. Wowsers! Hugs! ~Karen.

I saw the word AWESOME above and decided I couldn't find a more fitting word for this Amazing card!!!!! It is definitely.....AWESOME! I'm always amazed at how all the squiggles, scrubbings, squishes, plops and squirts on each and every Beautiful card you make all come together to make something SO Marvelous!
Penny, I can see, has gotten her second wind after a day of scrubbing and polishing and deep cleaning her Delightful home. She even extended her energies outdoors and lovingly polished her Beautiful cobblestone walk. She figured it was such a perfectly gorgeous evening that she would pick a stem from her magical Flipamaligally plant and plant some seeds from it by the light of the moon. After all, you can never have too many Flipamaligally plants! Kind of like shoes and diamonds. She has always wanted to have a whole field of them in the distance to look at out of her kitchen window. Off she goes. Oops, hope she doesn't lose all her seeds before she gets to the perfect spot. By next year she should be able to look out her kitchen window and see a vast expanse of Flipamaligally flowers...as well as being able to run out and flit through them... whistling her little heart out.

Susie, I have a new word for your cards, magifantabulous. There isn't a single word to describe how magical, fantastic, fabulous and marvelous they are! Love how you toned the colors down with the walnut ink, your tips are the best. Of course I love your creative stories. BTW, I'm an innie whistler too, my kindred friend. Never have been able to master whistling.

This truly is magical. Your use of colors and scene design continues to amaze me. I especially love that hobbity-looking house with its blue roof. (I've never tried using my pencils over ink; thanks for the tip.)
