Been a SCS member for a couple of years, yet this is my first addition here as I've not been a regular blogger. The Falliday Fest banner led me here and I was inspired to join the fun with my first joy fold card. This card is for my SIL in Toronto, a victim of terminal ovarian cancer. Made the card in shades of lavender the colour that represents all cancers.
The awareness ribbon was stamped on acetate and fussy cut. Then partly coloured in a blue Chameleon pen to depict water and shaped with a flower tool for dimension. The arrangement was made with die cut leaf sprigs coloured with a green Chameleon pen, quilled roses and tiny flowers from a border punch. The vase was secured in place with the glue pen and leaves. The card was finished with the stamped sentiment label adhered in place with foam tape and a dimensional yellow butterfly (to symbolize hope) to hold the card corner.
The scripture verses and healing petition on the inside of the card were computer generated. Image of the card inside is uploaded on my SCS gallery. More images on my blog along with links to the verses and petition images.

This is a beautiful card! I'm am sorry about your SIL. My mother also had ovarian cancer. So happy to hear your test results came back as nothing to worry about! Hope to see you about the galleries; this is a fun place to hang out! :-)
