Mary is our hostess this week and she has chosen: Tangelo Twist, Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Old Olive, Real Red (to use at least 3) and for dessert: a fall scene. I used a combination of distress inks to match and the SU! colors.
I was so pleased with my Christmas version of this card (here), that I decided to try a fall version. On my cs, first I sponged a light layer of yellow, then I stamped the leaves around the edges using masking (made from post-it notes), and multi-color stamping. To get the mulit-colored leaves I found that sponging the inks onto the stamp works really well!! Will definitely do this again. Then I added some more sponged yellow, splattered diluted inks of the same colors and diluted white acrylic paint with a paintbrush, and the sentiment. Added glitter to portions of the leaves with the spectrum noir glitter pen, matted, then adhered this panel to the card front - enamel dots for something extra!

Oh! This just seems to glow! The yellow sponging is perfect behind your autumn leaves - I'll remember your tip to sponge the color onto the stamps. I cannot imagine how gorgeous this is with the touches of shimmer.
P.S. - love the pines version of this layout as well!

What fab use of the enamel dots. Love all those leaves framing the sentiment, Maura.

This is so fully "Fall"! I love this style you have used on this and the Christmas version (I have to say I like that one the best, but probably just because it is a Christmas Card. My favorite time of year.)That framing around the center of the card is so effective to really emphasize the sentiment! This was a fantastic way to combine these colors and make them gorgeous!
