This week's alphabet challenge letter is O (See alphabet challenge thread post #2047). The double challenge was to make a one layer card which I did.
The O are: Owl, old olive, oval.
I masked the oval and sponged cajun craze and old olive around the border. I then sponged chocolate chip with a stencil. (I know, I probably should have made the surrounding area look like wood but I wanted to try this idea instead.)
I masked the outer area and stamped the owl, then sponged both more mustard and cajun craze on the owl for more depth and color.
I stamped a sentiment from Pedal Pusher right below the owl.
This was fun, thanks for the challenge and for looking.

This is awesome.. that owl stamp is fierce. Great how you did all the masking and stamping to give the look of layers. I'm not sure I can pull all that off. xoxo
I like this Bkg. Wood seems so commonly the expected . I like your out of the box idea. It really makes your owl noticeable and pops.it does give the look of more then one layer it clearly this meets the challenges very well. Perfectly beautiful work and card! MFS!

Okay, first this is beautifully done, love the coloring and the way it really looks like a layer. Now, I just have to say, the words "I'm here for you" under the ominous looking owl, is kinda creepy…lol It's a gorgeous owl but he looks more like he wants to peck me than give me a hug…just sayin'
Beautiful job of masking! It gives your one layer card has so much depth. And that owl is wonderful! Fabulous job on the challenge. Thank you ffor playing the Alphabet Challenge this week!

Love the sponging and then to get that stencil affect. This is very effective with your owl! Great "O" card and one layer card. It does look like a two dimensional card!

Catherine, this card is a true masterpiece! Wow! You have really achieved something here with all of your sponging- and the colors! I love them! This owl image is incredible and really looks amazing with your sponged background. You have really Outdone yourself for the Double O Alphabet Challenge my friend! ~Karen.
