This is my card for the alpha challenge letter O post #2047. For O, I used octagon dies, oak tree, oak leaves, & for part 2 of the challenge, it is a one layer card. I die cut a window in the card front & the image is stamped on the inside of the card.
The frame is sponged using a mask cut from an octagon die.

So clever using an octagon instead of oval as most of us would do/did and even more so adding the Oak tree on the interior keeping as a single layer card. Superb!

Wow Melody- I absolutely LOVE what you have done here. I am amazed at the masked off panel that looks so dimensional. I love how this gorgeous old oak tree is on the inside of the card too. The leaves on the front of the card look terrific and your sentiment is the perfect finishing touch! ~Karen.

Outstanding card! This one took me back to my youth. I grew up around lots of oak trees and one of my favorite songs at that time was "Tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree". It was such a catchy tune. Love how you did a hexagon window to see the tree inside. Beautiful colors. Nicely done! TFS

Melody,
The framing gives this so much dimension! It actually doesn't look like you sponged in the color, it looks like a frame! Does that make sense? Love it, so outstanding!
