Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Gail aka mamaxsix....congrats, Gail!!!! Wow, what an immense and awesome gallery...nearly 2000 projects!!! It was very difficult to choose from so many wonderful cards, but when I saw this cool faux wood card, I knew it was the one! I usually stay away from messy techniques but I just had to give this a try...it was so much easier than I thought! My card is for a co-worker who loves hunting, so I used the Father's Day set by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles, Pierced Squares Dies, and Pierced Ovals Dies. The 'faux wood' look was created by swiping two different brown ink pads across a piece of mustard cardstock, then the panel was die cut and the edges inked. I used green denim ribbon instead of twine, but kept most of the card design the same. I will also be submitting this to the Fan Club Inspiration Challenge since there are several similarities to the inspiration photo provided to the Fan Club members. Curious about the Fan Club.....check out the details here!! Thanks so much for looking! Have a very blessed day!

Angie, your cards are so amazing! This is such a handsome and masculine card that you are so talented and creative to make! Wow! I absolutely love the wood background you made. I have to try it with the colors you've used. It looks like real wood flooring! And what a perfect card for a hunter! Beautifully done, my friend, and it's perfect for this month's DD theme as well as CASEing Gail's beautiful card! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

What a gorgeous masculine card! Everything from the palette to your choice of ribbon simply speaks "guy" and I'm positive any man (especially your coworker!) would love to receive something like this.
I can't believe that faux wood is not patterned paper... I had to double-back and look at it closely again, and I still can't imagine how you got that perfect texture. It's amazing, and inspiring!
