Sorry I am a bit late to Polly's fabulous black & white photograph inspired mixed media challenge. I love black & white photo's with lots of shades of grey.
Using my MISTI I stamped this several times using black onyx Versafine ink. I then used my black distress crayon and did some swishes in her hair, blending with my finger.
Using a black micron pen I did some criss-crosses for her dress, then purposely scribbled over that with a black Copic and also coloured in her sunnies.
I wanted this to look like a mock magazine layout, not a pristine photo so I shut my eyes and wiped over the entire card with a baby wipe.
The baby wipe moved the crayon beautifully. I lightly added a bit of pencil for shading and doodled Jackie's name (and beads) with a fine micron pen and lead pencil.
This was heaps of fun and a very quick way to get inky. Another sample for my book. Thanks so much for looking.

Susie, my goodness, imagine my surprise when I saw that this stunning card was yours! Looking back, I should not have been one bit surprised. You are so multi-talented it is incredible- and fabulous! This Jackie O card is phenomenal in every way. I was chuckling about you closing one eye when wiping the piece with a baby wipe. You are a dear, brave soul indeed. Her hair and the lettering on this are just incredible! I am so inspired by your work- truly! ~Karen.

Just incredible. What a work of art. Taking Black and white and turning it into a fashion magazine cover - you are just too clever for words. I closed my eyes again after reading about your swishing the artwork with them - and had another look - yep - it turned out so well. I would love to have a close up look through your "journal" one day.
