With the colors in mind and the 100 degree temps outside this week, summertime seemed a logical theme. I started with the watermelon on a picnic table idea, and it just sort of grew from there as I worked on the project. The cloudy sky was created using SCS's Cloud Background tutorial. The checkered tablecloth was made using the stripes mask. The watermelon "seeds" were made with a tiny heart hole punch.
The sketch required two banners with an embellishment along the top edge of the card; so I repeated the watermelon colors and the embellishment were the "seeds".

I do not like ants, but these are okay (they aren't real) ... so cute!!! I love your sky and your watermelon and tablecloth -- it is all so beautifully done.

Your shiny little ants are maybe uninvited, but they sure are cute! I love the gingham tablecloth and those heart shaped seeds really put the love into this card!
