I ended up making two cards for Polly's fun Faux Gold Leafing MIX challenge today. I wanted to try her technique, which is what I did here.
Because I used two previously stamped and coloured images (something I rarely do) that gave me time to play. This one has a base layer of some old DVWV paper edged with gold EP. The image was already coloured with Inktense pencils, I added some Stickles to the holly berries, Liquid Pearl dots to one of the cups, and some chunky white EP. Then I added a frame made with tin foil and gold EP as per Polly's write-up. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap from my reject box. I was going to add die-cut holly leaves and berries but in the end went for some candy-striped ribbon to pick up on the candy canes in the cup, and a red button.
Inktense pencils, Liquid Pearls, Stickles and goodness knows what on the sentiment strip add up to plenty of different mediums .
