The challenge is to make a card representing what you're interested in. I'm a foster parent. I bring kids into my family that have had very few life experiences. I love to take them places they've never been. I take them to museums, local events, amusement parks, etc. Next week, I'm taking my 3 foster kids and my two grand daughters to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in California. This summer, I'd like to take them to the beach in Southern California where I was raised. I have a boy who has never been to any amusement park. I have a 3 year old autistic girl who never experienced rain, let alone sand on a beach. It gives me great pleasure to see their reactions to new things. I love this sentiment (Summer by the Sea) "Joy is not in things, it is in us." Thanks for taking a peek!

What a lovely sentiment and I love that image - never did buy it but I still love it. It is so rewarding to share the joy of someone experiencing something for the first time. I applaud you for taking on foster children. I don't know if I would do very well with that. Seem to have no patience any more.

Your card is beautiful and the reason behind it is even more beautiful. I admire what you do and your insightful goal to give these kids new experiences! It does so much for them to experience the world around them and have new activities. Your card is very special. The sentiment is so descriptive of what you do for these kids. Lovely coloring and the rope is a wonderful accent. Well done. TFS
