This is for Maura’s Color Challenge – Watermelon Wonder, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry with dessert for green of choice. I used a retired SU! stamp set and matching Framelits that are new to me. This is my first time to play with these items.
Flowers: stamped in Memento black, let it dry, watercolored in watermelon or pumpkin, and curry for the flower centers. For the Watermelon, I only have a marker (no ink pad), so I smeared a little ink from the marker on a plastic mat and used that ink to watercolor. I added black dots to the smaller pumpkin colored flowers to help them to resemble Tiger Lilies. Lastly, I added Wink of Stella to the flower centers.
Leaves: I used the Kissing method to attain a more textured look. I inked up the Canvas background stamp with Old Olive, pressed my leaf stamp onto the background stamp which then inked the leaf stamp in a pattern and then I stamped it onto Pear Pizzazz CS.
The leaves and flowers are die-cut. Punched two corners, stamped HB, and assembled my flower arrangement, raised up the top two lilies, layered all on Watermelon and a Curry card base. ThereÂ’s texture, interest, color, sparkle and best partÂ… itÂ’s easy to mail. My kind of card! Thanks for looking.
Hope you play along this week and create your kind of card!

So so pretty! The leaves caught my eye immediately and I am so glad you explained that you got this look from the stamp kissing. Such a great technique, and pretty flowers!
