I did want to make another card for this challenge - but it was going to be one using an old Penny Black stamp which I haven't used in a long time - I was reminded of it while trawling through my archives trying to find out how old the heart/wings on my sample card were.
But...I have a day off, oh joy, oh bliss...and it has been a horrible wet, grey, dull morning so I thought it was time to break out the Tyvek I bought last winter and play with it.
For this piece, I painted it with acrylic pearlescent medium mixed with gold Perfect Pearls, and when it was dry I used an iron to shrink it. Then I put it on a double layer of Verve's lovely wrapping tissue and stitched it with a metallic thread.
The seahorse was stamped with green, embossed, and then had some gold and sand misted over it. I attached it, then added all sorts of beads, some sequins, and a tiny smear of Stickles here and there.
For the base, it's misted with Brusho Acrylic Shimmer mists in gold and sand. I scored down each edge, and then stamped a couple of shells from the same set as the seahorse in various browns.
