Using 2 or more patterns of paper on 1 card is a challenge for me & something I hardly ever do. The colors are really subdued, too, which is another thing I usually don't do. But I actually used 4 on this one..a faintly patterned blue on top, a small rose pattern on bottom, a third for the bow & a pink polka dot layer behind the hatstand oval.
After stamping, coloring & over stamping this lovely Hatstand image, I die cut it & matted it w/ pink polka dot paper. Behind them I added a slightly altered Doily die cut.
On the bg, I stamped the birdcage w/ the gray flannel ink & die cut it w/ the matching die. After I cut down this piece, I added a smaller piece of the blue paper on top & a die cut border covering the join. The die cut birdcage was put back into the same opening where I cut it out & I added a leftover frame on top. A small bow was added underneath the greeting tag & a trio of flowers added in the lower right corner. A little stickles was added to the flowers on the hat & I used a pearl pen to add the centers to the flowers & on the doily.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, the inside & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff
