Lydia challenged us to watercolor free form flowers. It was indeed a challenge!! Watched the tutorials and tried a couple of different methods, a couple of different times. Have a couple of practice sheets discards and finally got one that would pass!!
I used the cone flower tutorial and added some bachelor buttons using a fan brush. I made the frame using Karen Dunbrook's Woodgrain Tutorial. Added blue twine and an itty bitty birthday tag to complete. TFL

Oh, your coneflowers turned out beautifully, Carla. That was the tutorial I was most tempted to try, but with a busy weekend looming, I had no time to factor in fit a learning curve... maybe tomorrow, now that I've seen yours. And I love how you used the fan brush to create the blue blossoms.

Oh, Carla, I too got a giggle out of your title! Been there myself, but this is beautiful, and I love the wonderful strokes of color to make beautiful flowers! Great card, and I think you should keep making more! This is perfect! Hugs!
