Today's CAS challenge "April Showers", today's Technique Lover's Challenge "Hellos and Goodbyes with No Layers", and Loll and Bonnie's CAS Mix-Up challenge "Stamping and Stenciling and Your Choice" (my choice is embossing paste).
Is it ever hard for me to make a one layer card! I rarely (more like, never) make them so this really was a challenge for me.
I stamped my image and sentiment, and then laid a homemade stencil of raindrops over top. I inked the stencil first with Memento Sky Blue but it was too blue and too pale, so went over it with Distress Stormy Sky and ended up with a colour I liked. With the stencil still in place, I went over it with clear glossy embossing paste. I coloured the puddles in with a bit of Stormy Sky.
The TLC challenge is to say hello to the new team members or goodbye to the old ones - thanks to those who are leaving for giving of their time, and welcome to the new members!
The CAS Mix-Up challenge runs until April 24th. Here's the link:

I'm sure I've seen you use that stamp before - if not you, someone else. I think it's a fabulous image - and so dynamic that it's perfect for a simple one layer card. I like the way you added the clear paste to finish the raindrops off.

Susan, what a fabulous stamp! And I love what you did with the raindrops - looks like I am going to need some of that clear embossing paste now!! Faved!

I love the raindrops, thought you had used crystal effects on each one and was amazed at the time that would have taken… I will have to look into this embossing paste stuff...
