This is definitely a challenge for me. I never understood having items hang off the edge just to have stuff hang off the edge. I guess just the thought of it ripping off or bending on the edge would drive me nuts... Let alone trying to figure out packaging the cards with the large bows that are off the edge. I tried to approach the challenge in a certain way. What would look normal hanging off of the card base? I've have done a few cards in the past using this technique, like having a balloon hanging off the top edge. I looked through a lot of my stamps and settle on the Dirt Bike. During a jump, a dirt bike is out of the box so to speak. I thought it would work for me. I cut the card base down so when the dirt bike was added the size of the whole card was 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
I hand cut the hills and stamped them with several different texture stamps and also sponged them using 4 different Stampin up browns. (chocolate chip, crumb cake, close to cocoa and early espresso). I curved the sentiment just a bit on my block to follow the hill shape.
Simon Says Wed Challenge Blog. Touchy Feely. I die cut some MFT grass and molded it along my hill. This adds more texture after it is popped up over the hill in the back. The dirt bike is also fussy cut and adds texture. You can feel the ridges of the tires and knuckles of the glove.
Thanks for looking

I'm with you on your thinking about the hanging off the edge being a weak point on the card, but I have to say this little guy is fabulous!

I'm a bit like you, Irene, about having things hanging off cards! Having said that, I am enjoying seeing all the creativity in this gallery - I really love your little dude on the motorbike and fabulous layout!

This is so cute, Irene! And perfect image for the over the edge. I'm w/ you, though. Mine barely extends past the edge..since I have to mail most, I try to keep them "mailable".
