This is for the Teapot Tuesdays Challenge - A Stitch in Time: Threads, pins, needles, patches to keep from unraveling, extra points for an encouraging scripture. For this one, I dug out a very old stamp set with an outdated style. Nevertheless, I love this patchwork quilt with stitch marks for this challenge and to frame the Bible verse. Years ago, I had a serious health issue that was raging out of control; sometimes I did feel like I was unraveling. This verse was one of the verses that I depended upon to help me through each day. The sentiment is from the same set and it seemed to express the purpose for our cards. The buttons with thread attached are from craft & sewing supplies that I inherited from my mother. Wonderful challenge. Thanks for looking.

Diane ... how sweet that the button embellishments are ones you inherited from your Mother. Loved reading about how this scripture verse has special meaning to you. I'm sure Cheryl will be uplifted and encouraged by your beautiful card!

Oh, Diane, what a very special card this is, and I do so love this Scripture verse - one that continues to give me strength knowing that He alone can do that (not me). And how dear that you've shared that this verse also gave you comfort during your serious health issue! And I also love the sentiment about how friends are like quilts, and what a beautiful quilt frame perfectly colored. Beautiful embossed background, and I especially love the special buttons from your dear mom's stash that you inherited. How very special! I am so touched by your coming to the tea party for me! I am so encouraged and feel so loved. Thank you, precious friend! xoxo

That little quilted border is just so sweet - I can imagine a fabric frame, padded and so tactile!! The buttons and ribbon are a great way of dressing up the sentiment.
