This is for our very own Cheryl (CherylQuilts) who has been having health problems. She is one of the sweetest members here on SCS. Here's a "Hello" and wishing her all the best.
I paper pieced the dress in two different patterns. The bg is stamped with various sewing motifs including a scissors, thimble, scrap of fabric, etc. Since this is a sewing card I had to do some actual sewing on it...so I zigzagged around the edge.

What lovely paper piecing and your sewing is perfect! I don't have the patience or the nerve to try sewing on cards!! LOL

Love it. What creative touches for the theme of the challenge. I really like the black/white polka-dot "hello" and how you positioned it along the side. The paper piecing is marvelous. Great job! TFS

I love retro! This card is so much fun. Wish I didn't have to keep my sewing machine in a closet (or maybe I wish I wasn't so lazy that I hate getting it out) because what a perfect card to put some stitches on. Great job.

Oh, Polly! I so love your beautiful card with the wonderful stitching - it's perfect, and I love this sweet lady in her paper-pieced dress and your fussy cutting. And the wonderful background and your embellishments are perfect! I am so touched by your coming to the tea party for me! I am so encouraged and feel so loved. Thank you, precious friend! xoxo

Wonderful card - with all the stitching and paper piecing. I not game to try sewing on a card like this - I just could never get the lines nice and straight. Just perfect.
