This card is for both our CAS364 challenge (use elements that correspond to the letters: LOVE), and our TLC573 challenge (emboss resist technique). The LOVE elements: L (leaves), O(old stamp: this is one my oldest sentiment stamps –kind of a stretch on this letter, I know….), V (versamark), and E (embossing).
On my focal panel, I embossed the leaves and flowers in white and then used a “batik” technique, where you fold the panel in many random directions, and then unfold it to give it a “batik” look when you sponge on your inks. It’s an awesome technique, but it just shows a bit in this card. I should have folded more before sponging.

Maura, this is absolutely beautiful!!! I love the colors you used and the folding technique. I've not heard of that! The leaves and flowers are stunning with the bg color!

Gorgeous! Love the effect you achieved with the different shades of green and blue inks applied over the folds/creases. It looks like real batik to me!
My fav thing about this card is the stark white cs that spans the full width of the card and breaks up the color and leads the eye right to the sentiment. Very cool design element! TFS!
