A big Congrats to Michele, the newest Featured Stamper! Wow! What a fun, colorful gallery she has! There are a bunch I wanted to case & for my card I chose THIS. I kept the birthday & balloons theme & the bright colors but I used sponging for my bg & a reverse balloon die instead of an image.
To make my very sparkly birthday card, I first die cut two layers out of white using two of the matting basics. Then the Party Balloons Reverse die was die cut in the smaller layer. On the larger layer, I used Distress inks to sponge on the different colors then attached the balloon layer on top. I also sponged one big balloon cut out and the Happy die and attached them. The Party Bg was stamped across a narrow strip using the Kaleidacolor ink & the Birthday was stamped on top. I added stickles to the Happy & the one balloon on top and used a clear Wink of Stella on the other balloons.
Congrats again, Michele! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

You certainly picked up on Michele's vibe Julie. This is so fun and I love the way you you used the reverse side and sponged/sparkled the balloons. You always make such terrific cards. Yes, I actually did the sketch and FS challenges this week. Felt good. Take care!
