Cathy's challenge this week...make it a cold scene. Living close to Lake Michigan, we sometimes have our own little snow storm from the wind off the lake. The flakes are huge and very fluffy. They are called lake effect snowstorms. Stamped the lighthouse, and tried to watercolor the wind and waves of the lake as it looks during one of these storms. Added acrylic paint for the snow banks. Wow Linda, you've created the feel of icy cold and wind perfectly on this beauty - makes you feel that you would rather be inside looking out on this gorgeous scene! We get lots of lake effect snow here where we live; love your title!

Just beautiful! Your scene reminds me of the northern Lake Superior towns like Grand Marais here in Minnesota where the winter weather is intense but awesome at the same time.

Linda, I could stare at this gorgeous card all day. Beautifully done. I'm going to have to put acrylic paint on my stamping table when I see how amazing those waves and splatters look on this card.
