This is a birthday card for my sister who lived in Japan and Okinawa for several years. (It also reminds me of Anne Ryan as she makes such beautiful Asian cards - this is no match for her mastery!)
I colored the image with copics, dazzled up the sun (which I was thinking was the moon and now realize I should have colored it an orange/yellow - oh well). I cut out the fan and popped it up above the image. I used crystal effects on the greenery, hills and clouds. I used miniature gold beads for the area between the fan and the cord. I paper pierced the main panel behind the image, added some pre-made flowers and added pearls.
My sister loves bling and embellishments, so I hope she will like this. I matched the inside with the same die in pink against a black background.
Thanks for taking a look!

Wow! This is totally gorgeous, Pamzi, and your sister is sure to LOVE it. I do. And, I know Anne Ryan will, too. The fan is awesome and I love the die cut you used behind your image panel. Outstanding and fav'd.

Holy Smokes, Fruitcake, will you just look at this! Gorgeous in those colors. Love the framed die, as well. This is exactly what I'm talkin' bout when I think Asian. You did as well, if not better, than that person you mentioned in your narrative. Take it from me, you're just as good as she is, hands down. Behave yourself up there in VA. Hugs.

Oh, Pam!!! This is gorgeous and truly so beautifully made inside and outside. The Asian fan is stunning, and I love your coloring and really think the moon is right. Beautiful coloring! I love how you've paper pieced it and added the glossy accents! Your sister is going to love it! Amazing! Hugs, sweet friend!
