This is my first sample for CC561. I am your hostess and my color trio is coastal cabana, bermuda bay and smoky slate. Dessert is anything goes this week. Something different - just tell us what you chose. My dessert on this card is a shaker card.
I am still in Christmas mode so both my samples are holiday cards. My sweet 5 year old granddaughter asked me to make her a shaker card. How could I refuse her (lol)!!
And I just happened to see this tutorial from Nicole for a star shaker card and decided to go in that direction.
My striped background dsp is from the Stampin'-Up "winter frost" collection. It has all 3 of today's colors. Hint: if you have that dsp you can use it for today's challenge. I layered that onto a coastal cabana card base.
I cut my star from silver glitter paper. Sequins on the card front and for the shaker are bermuda bay color.
Cut my merry word from a PaperTrey Ink die in coastal cabana. And, that is my first sample.
Hope you can play along with us this week. These colors don't have to be only for Christmas. Check out the beautiful samples from our design team-Karen-Vicki-Peggy-Barbara-Maura. As well as our guests Linda & Sue.
You may be our next fave and have your card featured on our very popular Pinterest board. See that here.
