HYCCT1522 = wrinkle free distress. I tried to relate this to the book theme and the grand old libraries of major cities(NYC, St Louis, Cleveland) that I have known. The de rigueur interiors of these old buildings are warm, beautiful marble. I tried to make the wrinkle free distress panel of my outer frame look like these interior marbles.

I love that virtuoso gilding on the edge of your SB die cut negative! This card is a labour of love from a real book lover; I can tell. I agree with everyone commenting before me. The background, colours, image, sentiment ... all perfectly in tune with your theme. TFS
Wonderful card, Sallie! You are a master at these techniques--your BG truly looks like marble! I love the touches of gold and small center image, letting the *marble* shine!

I am so pleased I came to have a look at your gallery Sallie! This is just incredible, from the background you created to the gold edging bringing your eye to the beautiful scene in the centre. Amazing work. I have a set of old books, one is "Using English" (lol) but they are edged in gold, and beautiful and this reminds me of those books. Wonderful Sallie, thanks again for sharing.
