A quick card for Misti's Show Us Your Scars HYCCT challenge.
The base is actually left from a card I made for Kelli's Bokeh challenge last year - I mis-stamped the sentiment on it and it has been in my spares box ever since. (Details of how I made it are in THIS upload).
Today I simply tore off the edge with the crooked sentiment and stamped a different one in the bottom corner, pierced one edge, added a butterfly and then stuck it to an embossed card base.
The butterfly is one layer of dry-embossed vellum, then the outline die was cut from shimmer paper and I used a scrap of holographic card for the body.

Oh, yes, always save those pieces that seem like failures - you never know! This is lovely. That crooked sentiment led you to tearing that pretty BG and the result is so much more interesting than if you had not.

What a happy, spring feel this card has. The butterfly is gorgeous, especially the body. You chose such a cute ef with the little bird peeking over the torn edge.

I love being able to pull from our stashes of stuff that did not work out on an earlier card to create such amazing cards with them later. Wonderful job with this torn paper challenge on this beauty.
