Happy opening day of HYCCT 2015!!! This is my favorite time of year at SCS. HYCCT brings us all together for a common purpose to encourage the warriors battling breast cancer. I love that we get to know one another a little better through our stories written in card descriptions and when we hang out in the chat threads. So here's my first card's story.
I know what you are thinking. "Angie misread Lydia's HYCCT1501A challenge", right? Nope! My card is depicting kite flying weather. I am not a fan of windy days! Growing up in Kansas the wind rarely stopped blowing, making picnics and camping a chore. If we didn't hold onto our plates we could lose it all as the wind tossed plates, burgers, and chips through the air. Setting up a tarp and tent could take forever as the wind whipped them about!! Interestingly, it's rare to have a windy day where we reside in the middle of Georgia so it's easy for me to smile!
I have included a sun on my card and although it's not my least favorite weather, I actually prefer the rain. I know, that's really weird but it's true, funny thing, my daughter also prefers a rainy day!

Hi Angie:
For some reason I couldn't get onto your card from the forum, so I went to your gallery instead. Lovely card...it reminded me of times at Lake Powell that it was so windy we ended up with sand in our bbq chicken.

love the card. I can understand those of you who don't like the wind but where I live, we need the wind. It keeps us cool during the summer, keeps the mosquitoes away and makes a great day for sailing, windsurfing or kiteboarding.
