The challenge to-day was to make a Birthday card for yourself. I have used all of my most favourite things. Die-cuts..love this Cheery Lynn butterfly. Butterflies ..could you guess?. I inlaid only the body of the butterfly and let the wings curl up a bit. Stickers..Magenta black. (I also used part of the stickers to dot the i in birthday.) Purple..purple anything! I don't have any of those Brusho type powders so I used powdered fabric die that I found at Mikes. This works fairly well on hot press watercolour paper using the same techniques. The greeting is a mixture of CTMH sets and finally a black gem for my butterfly's head.

OK this is how I see things (sometimes very strange I must admit!). Yes, I can see the beautiful butterfly NOW, but before I began reading everyone's remarks, I saw, and still do, the most exquisite angel. Am I alone - can anyone else see it? Talk about multi-purpose...

I never noticed it before but you are correct! There is an angel there. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. It's funny how everyone's interpretation can be so very different. So now I have a multi-purpose die....whooo hooo!

I have had a busy few months, and not only missed making cards, but missed beautiful creations like this. I was just enjoying your gallery and this took my breath away. Just stunning, Sue. The inlaid butterfly is gorgeous, and your fabric dye bg is lovely. I will have to investigate your technique as I also don't have brushos and the budget is tight right now.
