I am right on the money for the CT0815- there are a lot of dots and doodles here. Then there is the CC546....I am stretching it a bit, but among every other color in the rainbow, the roses and flowers are raspberry, some of the greens are cucumber, and there is a lot of tangerine. This was a bittersweet card to make. My older son is turning 20 on Sept 2. While I made this I had visions of my adorable 3 year old with the blond curls, rosy cheeks, big blue eyes, and the sweetest smile ever. I would sit in the park as my 2 boys climbed what they thought was a big hill, and then they would run up to me with the treasures they had found...little rocks and pretty leaves. Last week my 2 sons and their friends, all well over 6 feet, piled into a car at 6am with backpacks filled with more food than I eat in a week. They were off to climb a mountain. The trail is listed as expert. At midnight they came home. The blond curls have been replaced by a very close cropped hair cut, the rosy cheeks are now a strong chisled jaw line, but the blue eyes still sparkle with excitment. And you should have seen that wonderful smile as he shared his "treasures" with me.... photos on his iphone of the boys at the sumit of the mountain. All I can ask for as a mom is that my baby continues to climb "mountains" and that he always shares his joy with me.

I so love the special cards you make for your sons, Francie (and I forgot to say thank you for the lovely card!! I just took down all our anniversary cards and DH's birthday ones, so it's on the mantelpiece where I can see it each day). I love the contrast between the real flying things on the left and the imaginary ones on the right. I have a friend who sends me something flying pig related every year on National Pig Day, as a reminder to believe in our dreams and hope for what seems impossible. So I think I spotted your pig with his cute corkscrew tail first of all.
And who can do dots and doodles better than you! Also I loved your write-up.

Francie, This was one of the most heartfelt write-ups I've read in a while. When one writes from the center of their being they reach the heart of others. Your step-card is absolutely fantastic! In my humble opinion this type of fold is meant to capture and hold memories like the ones you've shared. I guarantee this card will be a cherished keepsake ~ signed with a mother's love.

First you bowled me over with the stunning card...I have been sitting here soaking it all in-so much to see and enjoy! Right into my favs! The coloring, the colors arrangements...the whimsey all over it....
Then you turned me into a mush with that story. You conveyed a world of love in a single paragraph. You write very well.

You touched my heart and brought back some memories of my own chubby-cheeked blonde toddler. Thanks for sharing a beautiful love story and a fabulous card I know your son will treasure!
