Happy Tuesday everyone. Peggy is our colour challenge hostess this week and the colours she chose are "smokey slate, crushed curry and tempting turquoise" the desert option is - "Birthday"
I have this cute Stampin Up set "Little trucks" which I purchased on E-Bay. It was missing the flagman from the set. I needed a flagman - so I printed out the image off the internet. Traced it onto vellum. Scanned it into my computer and tried to size it correctly. I stamped the bulldozer and the saw horse - warning lights on either side of the bulldozer. Coloured them and made the ground look like gravel ( for the smokey slate colour). I coloured my flagman - changed the sign from "Hi" to "HB" - short for Happy Birthday. I sponged in the clouds. Stamped on the "they say it's your birthday sentiment (using my stamp a ma jig for correct placement). Popped up the flagman. Matted image with the blue, crushed curry and grey card stocks. Sewed around the edge. Added the Crushed Curry banner - attached with screw brad. I made the striped base panel with four different papers. Matted with crushed curry. Sewed edge. Popped up the image panel.. Finished the inside.
I want to give credit to Theresa (theelopers) for the design of my card. Here is Theresa's card that I cased Aug10VSNK - Soaring Where
I hope you will come and join us in this weeks colours challenge.
Hugs..Pat

Adorable card, Pat. Aren't you the clever and creative one to correct the issue of the missing stamp. I'm impressed!! Would be a darling card for a young boy who loves big trucks.
