I am rushing out to get a fasting blood test (so hungry I could eat this card), so I will back with the directions for this easy bg.
I survived the blood test, so here are the details.
I saw a pinterest card that used alcohol inks on acetate for a bg. I always grab whatever stamps are easiest to reach, and reslized that the heart had butterflies, so I could use it for the F4A282...anything that flies. I stamped the heart twice and the boarder twice to create the image. The most difficult thing about this card was that it took forever for each step to dry on the acetate. I think that when they were handing out "patience" I must have been standing in the " rush around like a chicken with your head cut offf line" by mistake....I probably did not take the time to read the signs. After the black ink dried, I flipped the acetate over. For the bg you take your lightest color- as usual, I did not have a lightest color, so I just chose the blue- apply it to a felt aplicator and pounce. Then, with the image showing through, I pounced with the green on the border area and the plum on the heart area. I went over it many times to get a lot of texture lines for the bg.
The image did not show up as well as I wanted, so I added white gel pen. I used white cardstock behind the acetate and assembled tge card. This is a very easy technique with really interesting results. TFL, Francie
Just an interesting observation...keeping in mind that most of my cards look like the aftermath of an explosion in a neon paint factory, even I think it is a bad idea to paint the walls of a blood lab neon green and electric purple. When you are fasting and have had to wait forever for your turn, that color scheme can justabout make you loose your cookies.

What a cool technique and the results are just gorgeous! I have no idea how you come up with some of these but I love seeing them! Thanks for the full and entertaining description too! I do know the patience it takes to wait for acetate to dry too!

Whatever the effect that psychedelic lab had on your creative juices I think this background is spectacular! I always have trouble with vivid colour...perhaps you could give me the address? Thanks also for all the detailed instructions. I may give this a try.
