Our colors this week are: Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay with desert: a die cut or punched shape
I colored the stamp with markers and then huffed before stamping on the card front. Then I used one of my favorite techniques: make a 3D frame for a CAS image. I feel like it gives it depth and a certain elegance but still keeps the clean CAS look. Used my Holiday apertures dies to make the frame -complete with stitching - but this time I used an added rectangle nestability that allowed me to cut a slightly smaller opening in the Bermuda Bay cs that I could use as a matting layer to my frame. Love how it worked. The frame is popped up with dimensional tape. Die cut the sentiment and adhered it so that it extended beyond the frame which gives it a shadow box effect. It looks cool IRL. Added some punched butterflies that I had punched from a separate piece of cs on which I blended the colors, and then spritzed with shimmer mist for some sparkle. Glued butterflies so that only the body is attached and the wings give a 3D look. This also works for our CAS329 challenge which is to make a thank you for Paula - aka: mrslaird, for all her work on the CAS team. Thank you, Paula!!! Love that CAS challenge. Linking also to:
