For the CCEE Stampers this week, Joanne is also asking us to get out our tools . We must have something heat embossed, have some paper piercing, paper piecing, AND some type of framing on this card/project.
I used Unity's Hey There Wise Guy; his scarf is pieced.
Sentiment and snowflakes from POD Holidoodles, Ithought it went well with the cosy scarf. I used the same paper for "joy" as for the scarf, cut it out and added Glossy Accents. Base layer - silver metallic pen scribbled on a white base, sponged over with Chipped Sapphire. Sentiment banner is pierced (Verve banner die), also used piercer in the corners of the frame. Frame was embossed with two coats of clear EP, and then had slight distressing added with gold pen.
Main layer: Cuttlebug snowflake ef, faux patina (Colorbox Ice Blue, then shabby shutters and milled lavender distress inks. I added Iridescent Ice and edged it with a silver pen.
In respect of Linda's challenge, trusty tools I use all the time are my scissors and scalpel for fussy cutting, and my big Shot. I reckon I use my heat gun several times a week, too.

Love the scene you have created for your little penguin? Perhaps he is not a penguin looking at his legs. Perhaps he is having a good stretch. Anyway it is so cute.
