I am on a roll this week... I never make 4 cards in one week. Thanks to Dolly the insomniac dog, I have had a lot of extra crafting hours at 3 a.m every night this week. Extra crafting time...YEAH! The down side is that I look like the bride of Frankenstein from lack of sleep. There are a few things that stem from making cards when normal people are asleep and only the vampires are awake. First, I am limited to whatever supplies are on the dining room table - rumaging through the coat closet where I keep my craft stuff would wake my family up. My copics in this week's CC526 were out, so that is what I used. I also "design as I go, or as the errors force me to go" since inteligent thought processes aren' t always working at that hour. I was coloring in the image when the reds bled everywhere. With no blending pen in sight to remove the bleeding, I decided to forget about the lines and used lighter copics to carry the colors into the white space. At that point thinhs were not looking too good, so I looked in the kitchen for some ideas. There was a trial size bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter, so I squeezed a few blobs onto the card, took a bathroom break, and then wiped them off. I used the pointed tip of the copics to add outline dots around the areas where the hand sanatized had removed the copids. My little crafting partner, Dolly, liked the results. TFL, Francie

Oh, Francie, I'm so sorry your little doggie stamping buddy is keeping you up at night, but I'm loving what you created! Very creative, indeed! I sure never would never have thought to drip some hand sanitizer onto my card, lol!

You drew all those dotted circles by hand? This is FABULOUS, Francie! I love the bleed of the red and love that you used it to your advantage to create this beautiful, artistic card! WOW, at 3AM yet! Then go to work to boot. You are an amazing talent!
From one early morning artist to another, I salute you! I think your happy accident turned out amazing looking! Probably better than if the reds had stayed in the lines!!! I love the flow of your design and the color combo! I have to admit to feeling a bit off today but I created a card and am 3/4 the way through creating a pictorial tutorial so not bad for 4 hours sleep! Give Dolly a hug for me in the morning. I hope to be sleeping in at least until 7ish!!!
