...so I wanted to do something different and step out of my comfort zone since the inspiration site is so unique to what I would normally do....
So I tore up pieces of used grid paper (because it makes me think of 'planning'), and leveraged my paint daubers to create the 'light' in the background. Then I used a Tim Holtz stencil and some embossing paste for the flowers (the flowers represent me struggling to reach the light). The paperclip arrow on the bottom left represents the words of my father when he was alive "Keep your head up, work hard, and you can be whatever you want to be". I selected the Swarovski crystal (wish you could see it IRL) because of the way it reflects light....I believe that "opportunities" will present themselves in life depending on your perspective to them like with a crystal.
The theme of this card is 'the light at the end of the tunnel".
It was fun to do something really different, and to step out of my comfort zone and think more artistically! Big thanks to our guest hostess Stacy for inspiring me in this direction!
Hugs,
Audrie

I loved reading your steps to creating this wonderful card and the meaning behind each element of your card. Your father would be very, very proud of you. This is a gorgeous card. I purchased embossing paste quite a while ago long with stencils and yet to try them. I think you got me inspired to give it a try.
