I had heaps of fun making these cards for Anna's great mixed media challenge.
Using my MISTI stamping tool I stamped the Unity girl (with sunglower attached) with Archival ink. I then reinked the stamp several more times so it was very black and bold.
I stamped the image onto Mask It by X-press it, then fussy cut and laid the mask over the stamped image. I have never used this stuff before - it is brilliant. I occassionally use the brush-on masking fluid, but it smell like a dead critter is under the desk.
I did the smack and squirt technique for the background (smack distress ink onto aluminium foil, squirt on a fair bit of water, using a foam blending tool, mop up the coloured water and gently swish over the cardstock).
I stamped on the garden and trees before removing the mask. I coloured the girl with distress inks - smack ink pad onto foil, squirt a tiny bit of water in one corner and use an aqua brush to colour.
When everything was finished and dry, I put it back into the MISTI and stamped on the Unity sentiment. I stamped it four times to make it nice and bold.
No copics or pencils!! Thank you for looking and have a great weekend ladies.

Once again you have created a masterpiece. Wouldn't teen-age girls especially just love this card? That Misti must be a fabulous tool. They should put you on the payroll for all the free plugs they're getting!

Fantastic bkgrd, girl image, sunflower ... great, bold coloring! Like the detailed stamping and doodling, too. Perfectly placed, as always. All of your cards rock, Sweet Susie!
