I've been working on my mom's addiction to card making. I think I am making great progress because today she expressed an interest in an SCS tutorial so we make a pact to do the tutorial tonight and send each other pictures. I thought her results were great(she is shy and isn't ready for a gallery yet)! I then took my Watercolor Bokeh paper and put it together with a few challenges in mind. Here is the tutorial we used: Watercolor Bokeh Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
The hardest challenge for me was CAS. I just don't have the eye for clean and simple. It seems to be missing a little something. I could not capture the Wink of Stella, it does have some twinkle. Let me know if you think I should add more. I used Wink of Stella as my dessert...It is by far my favorite embellishment. UPDATE: Hubby thought it was too plain. So this new version has a white ribbon and some white gel pen accents. I think it still looks CAS even with the added embellishing.
I might add a diorama to the back of this tomorrow...but I need to sleep on it first.

This is terrific! I love how your watercolor bokeh turned out! I did it for Thursday's challenge, but mine is not nearly as good as yours, I think I want to try again using different colors. It is wonderful that you and your mom can share this craft together. My mom and I do too and we love spending time together. In fact she is wanting to try this tech. too, so I think this is what we will be doing Sunday after church. Once again, this is a terrific card! Thanks for the inspiration!

This is fabulous! Your bokeh is fantastic, and the colors are just gorgeous! Terrific layout, and the ribbon is just right!

Love this! I do need to try that technique--you've done a masterful job! This card is perfect! I like the added ribbon. I see you used a textured cardstock for your base, so it really isn't just plain. A perfect CAS card!

LOVE the colors you chose for this technique and a great photo catching some interesting shine. The white gel pen addition was genius as well as the wink of Stella. How cool that you and your mom share this card making passion. GREAT job!
