hi all,
Here is my color challenge card for today and I also incorporated the CAS (very simple inside and out) and the new technique challenge. I decided to make an opening on my outside as well so that the hummer had something to occupy him when the card is closed. I used a +/- magnet to hold my card closed when it IS closed and covered the magnets (mostly) with a butterfly on the inside and a border on the back of the outside. That color looks yellow but is actually pear green like the little frames around my die cut openings.
I think I would like to have added another layer on the outside of an embossed panel and ribbon or twine but I was trying to keep it simple. My pool color is on the hummer because my card base is sky. Actually, the hummer has all 3 colors.
Thanks for looking!

Neat idea to have an aperture on the front too, Robin. Rather you then me trying to get them lined up, though!! The magnet sounds like a good idea too, and you concealed it very well, always a problem. I'm thinking that if you knew in advance you wanted to use one, the inside one could actually be totally concealed inside, before sticking the strip that turns it into a pop-up.
p.s. the silver and gold markers I used for colouring my clear buttons , the brand was Edding, but they're just the sort that you have to shake before using, a bit like leafing pens only cheaper, and with a wide chisel nib.

What a neat idea to put the punch out on the cover as well -- cool! This is a beautiful card - as usual your cards all are so pretty!

Robin, this is lovely...and you incorporated a couple of challenges too. Love your realistic coloring of the hummingbird and it is clever how you placed him in relation to the hibiscus flower.
