I have a love for the Art Impressions stamps and I used this chicken image many times before. But for this Easter card I found the image to small....just had this DUH moment, why not stamp the image and then scan it and resize! Although I resize many digi stamp images I never thought of doing this with actual stamps until now, I know sometimes I'm a bit behind hehehehehe.
Anyway the chicken was now more to my liking.
I kept it simple and coloured it with Prisma pencils and added the wording. Inked the edge with Catseye chalk ink in a muddy grey colour.
The base card is yellow Bazzill cardstock I layered this with a DP wood and then stamped the chicken wire background stamp on white paper and then torn the edges and inked it with Distress ink. A strip of red cardstock and distressed and inked on the left with a few layers of cardstock with the image on top.
To keep the embellishment simple just a yellow feather with some raffia and a piece of jute twine.
The sentiment is on the inside...
