For Cathy's WTUI challenge this week ~ Buttons & Lace
I incorporated it with my own challenge to the CCEE Stampers. I couldn't find very many stamps with a moon on them - two also had owls ;-).
IO Owls stamped on Bristol board with Versafine Black, then coloured with Polychromos and Couleur d'Art pencils. For the sky I brushed in some powdered chalk pastels brushed in, then misted with homemade mister. I added Stickles to all the stars, and painted some Perfect Pearls onto the moon for some extra shimmer.
Base - TCW lattice stencil and the same homemade mister. I trimmed it with some star buttons to match the moon (they were clear, I coloured them with metallic markers), lace, a heart button and a sentiment from LOTV, and posted it off to a friend in time for Valentine's Day (I hope).
Both panels were edged with a black pen.

Wow Sabrina this is so beautiful. Even though we are thousands of miles apart I have the exact same lace but I have never used it as beautifully as this. Beautiful card my friend.

Love that super sweet image! It looks lacy itself from a distance. Fantastic background! The softened edges of the pattern looks like wispy clouds moving in front of it. TFS

So beautiful, Sabrina! I can only imagine how shimmery this looks IRL! Love the watercolor feel of the background and the owl tree is so cute! Your friend will love it!

Sabrina, this is fantastic with the bg you created. Thanks for the tip of misting chalks....didn't know you could do water with them. The star buttons and tiny tag finish it so nicely. tfs
