Here is my card for the Tickle a TeaPotter challenge this month - took me a few days to figure out what I was doing, and it took a few twists and turns, but I am finally done!
My card base is garden green - I have had this piece of mulberry for years - got it at Hobby Lobby - looked like a tie dyed t-shirt from the 60's! Put that on a piece of green and stitched it all the way around - now, go figure, after I stitched it, I proceeded to cover up more than 2/3 of it with my scene!! Now that part, I sure didn't think through too well!!!
Cut the curvy hills (and grassy border) with SB A2 curvy borders, cut the tall and evergreen trees with my IO dies, the deer with Memory box die,and a LOT of leaves from a Poppy stamps wreath die, and added about 3 wreaths full of leaves. Next, I stamped some grass tufts with my Kittie Kit "Cause a Scene", in garden green, then added some highlight to the grass with my watercolor crayons and an aqua pen. Then, I cut another border and fringed it to look like grass for the first layer - whew, almost done - then added the deer ! Looking at it afterwards, I guess I should have made the trees the white birch they were meant to be, since now they kind of look like palm tree trunks, but what is done is done! Hindsight again!!
Hope some tea potter will be happy to get this card - at least they will understand the processes I just went through!
Thanks for looking - I appreciate your comments!
